We engaged Mette to undertake the design of our large single storey rear extension. Mette designed exactly what we wanted, but was very innovative in the design. FAMILY SPACES
We designed this bungalow project with a revised layout that is both practical and bright. A dark and cramped entrance hall was opened up and connected to the new kitchen/ family room with direct views towards the rear garden. A series of long slim roof lights emphasise and raise the sense of spaciousness.
BRIGHT SPACES
With an east facing garden combined with a deep extension, this project required careful consideration to ensure sufficient levels of day light would reach the heart of the new family room. Zoned spaces with a central ridge light above the new dining area and three large glazed gables creates a natural sequencing to the space.
CHARACTER SPACES
A small character cottage required complete updating suitable for modern living. A large double storey side addition merging perfectly with the original architecture and a kitchen rear extension retains the charm of the cottage whilst more than doubling the usable footprint.
